What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of snakes?
The first thing that comes to my mind is fear and speed. My home in India is surrounded by lot of trees and greenery so it is very common to find snakes near my home. Once when I was coming back from college, a green snake passed right in front of me. For a minute I was shocked out of fear. Only later could I appreciate the beauty of a snake.
There was another incident where a “baby” snake(not more than a foot long) was sitting in a corner of the sink where our servant maid used to wash the vessels. When the maid saw the snake she literally screamed her wits out and brought the whole house running helter-skelter. Finally my dad had to kill the tiny little snake as we could not have it there(my cousin was just two-weeks old then and my aunt was staying with us so we were more concerned about the snake getting into the house).
However here was an interesting article in the Hindu newspaper about snakes and how harmless they are.

Not that I would lose my fear of snakes but then always interesting to know about animals 
I can only scream at the thought of snakes. I somehow can’t get to like any creature that crawls, from earthworm to snakes.
I remember the only time when I touched a snake was at an Animal Planet stall in Chicago near some mall. The guy with the snake saw me make a face at the snake and he ran behind me and he wouldn’t give up until I touched it. Owww!
I probably can NEVER like snakes.. but ya I mean no harm to them. If I find one, I will only scream and flee from there but will not attempt to kill it. One I don’t have the guts, two I hate the thought of even killing one! Yikes!

Oh ya snakes are scary. Am dead scared of rats too. The mention of a rat will cause me to sweat.

I can’t say i like snakes. But for some reason i am afraid of them. I have seen a rattlesnake from 2 feet away in the wild and i didn’t get scared. the snake simply went off on its business.

Whoa, rattlesnake sounds scary. Near our house, actually there is a “Snake temple” and people in the area believe that the snakes roaming near our houses are harmless as they reside in the temple. Nobody every harms them. But finding a snake inside the house is really scary at times.

snake is very dangerous…..i accept..but very bad attitude to kill snakes……
